Pilar's Birthday!

Yesterday was Pilar's birthday!

she and her husband just moved to Guatemala from Colombia! they are the sweetest couple and we are thrilled to have them here in Guatemala. we took them out yesterday to Cayala to celebrate her birthday. we love you Pilar, and thanks for letting us share with you this day. we had a blast.

this pictures where taken before the balloons went flying out of Pilar´s wrist! so sad we lost them, she ran after them but it was too late, they where up in the sky in no minute.

Today was the day!

We are so exited to be over with school!

Today we had our last test!

We are free!

No more school!

So many emotions on our hearts right now!

We are so thankful!

Our mom it's the most wonderful women on earth!

this past Saturday, we went to an orphanage called "Tio Juan" in the city with the youth group, to make a little party for the kids. We had a great time! The kids were so happy. They loved the piñatas and the time we spend with them. A big thanks to the guys from the youth group for making a wonderful work on planning and putting it all together.

Hi there October!

 

Hi you all! We have had a tough week last week. School is almost over and we are studying like crazy for finals. Oh boy! October is here and i am dying over excitement. October is my favorite month and i love that it is finally here. I love the weather, the feeling of school being over + everybody it's on vacations, getting ready for Christmas, more free time...etc. For this month we have big things coming up, for like a example our graduations! Eeeeee! so excited and can't wait.
October first was the kids day here in Guatemala. This past weekend we went to a orphanage with the youth group to make to the kids a little celebration. (post coming up on that)
This 9th it's our last day of school!
on Sunday 13th comes a sweet family friend from Florida. We are very happy to see her!
The 19th we have a concert with the youth group.
We are about to start to plan our graduation party...and the 26th it's our graduations.
I just mentioned some of the thing will happen on this wonderful month and we are very happy to be able to share them with you on this little space! So get ready people!

#secretproject8 week 2

hey there!
today we start week 2 of our Daniel study!
but first lets do a review about last week and what we learned.
we saw the first chapter of Daniel
we saw how similar is our culture to the Babylon culture back in daniel´s time.
This world is not our home and we should always remember that while they may appear to be sweet as honey, the world and Satan are out to destroy us.
the world its all about the appearance an how you look and how you dress and the way you talk and everything.
this verse is so clear about whats important for God.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7.

God is concerned about what is the heart, not outward appearance.
through the spirit, we are free to serve God with all our hearts.
so much to learn from this chapter really.
