Lake IZABAL!

Last week was "Semana Santa"! we took of to the lake house on Wednesday morning with my grandparents and spent the whole week over there. it was just the perfect time to rest and get away from our normal routine and enjoy the hot weather.
there's no much to do there than swim in the pool + lake, eat coconut, sleep, relax, and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and sunset, and all of that is exactly what we did.

it was nice to make this tip with the family and spend quality time with all of them.

The lake was a dream. all calmed and blue and what can I say? just perfect.
Beach, Sand, sun and family = perfect trip

NEW CHAPTER!

Back to blogging again! Woot woot! Guys I (we) have been so busy lately with so many things, culinary school + projects, youth group, church and so much more! I really don't know where to start this post, there's so much To tell!

1st: Culinary school is going great! In March I finished my practices at the restaurant in Intecap which means that now I have to do 800 hrs of practices somewhere else, restaurant or hotel (my choice). Since the beginning I wanted to be Westin Camino Real which is one if the best hotels here in the city! I could say a dream! Ruth (my best friend from culinary school) and I both wanted to get in at that hotel so badly! Got all of our paper work together and send it to the lady in charge of that in the Hotel. we both got the interview the same day, hers at 3:00 pm and mine at 3:30pm,

goodness we were so nervous! I left that day knowing that was the place God wanted me to be! You know when people say that just by being in a place you feel it, if it's the place or not, for you,

well I felt it there, i really saw myself working there.
After that day all that was left was the waiting and the praying! 2 weeks past and I still had no response from the hotel and I was starting to get worried and anxious about it! Every day I would check my email if there was some news and no, never. I would always be waiting for my phone to ring and that a random phone number would pop from the screen, and maybe it be from the hotel, but no!
And then thursday night as I was in the shower after geting home late the phone ring, someone was calling, and as I glimps with my eyes I look it it was a random number, got out of the showerd all wet and responded, IT WAS THE HOTEL SAYING THAT I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO DO MY PRACTICES THERE!!! What!???

Woohoo! Ended the call, got back in the shower and finishing and ran out to my parents room to share the news!!! We all so excited! And then Ruth just texted me "Anna!!!" I knew in that moment that they have called her too! Called her right away and in that moment, goodness we both were speechless! I can't believe it.

I am going to learn so much in this place and I just can be more thankful to God for opening this new opportunity and for putting me in this amazing place! I know is going to be hard and this new chapter will bring new challenges but God as always will get me through this with Victory and I can`t wait to see how the Lord will continue to use me and how He will change me and transformed through this.

I start in april 6th! Here's to this new chapter of my career and new adventures!

xoxo Anna.

I'm thankful to the Lord for letting us have better things ahead of us then any we leave behind!

Last year as i said before was the hardest year of my entire life, i felt so lost in this world, i felt scared, I felt hopeless and frustrated. I felt like a failure, i felt so so alone, i felt like i was giving my 100% but it was never enough. i felt like i was blind, i couldn't  see where i was going with my life. i felt like i was in a nightmare. like the life i was living wasn't real. it was so hard and for the first six months i will come home and cry for the rest of the day. i felt like time was no passing, i wished for 2014 to go fast and instead it took forever to end.
the last months were no so bad as the first ones, but  i was happy it was coming to an end and i wished for a better year. as i remember last year, all the bad that was in it, I'm also thankful for the thing i got to learn and for those situations that make me grow and mature. I'm thankful for the only one that never left me, the only one that understood me, the only one that could gave me peace in the middle of the storm, the only one...the one and only....my Savior, my Lord, my God, my Jesus.

And at the beginning of this year i was nervous that it was going to be the same as last one.
i prayed for no more frustration, for no more blindness, for no more loneliness, for hope, for joy...
i believe in the promises that my heavenly father has promised, and specially this year i want to take every single one of them and keep them in my heart and carry them everywhere i go.
i want to live in His truth.

on January first, i have to admit i wasn't to excited about this year, but after this two weeks I'm pretty excited !!! 2015!!!, a new year, a new chapter, new opportunity's. new adventures, new people, new things.... new everything!
I'm thankful to the Lord for letting us have better thing ahead of us then any we leave behind!

Santa Curz Mission Trip

Last week Enid and I were invited to interpreted at a mission trip in Santa Cruz. about thirty north Americans came to organize a vbs and a youth camp for the people from Quiche. it was my first time meeting this group of people and i didn't know what to expect, all thoug i was way to excited to go to the lovely land of quiche! let me tell you, it was way more than i could never expected! I'm so thankful for the big opportunity of serving my beloved Guatemala with a wonderful group of north americans who have a big heart for Jesus. Every single people i met during this week was a true inspiration! I'm an ordinary person who has been blessed with extraordinary opportunities and experiences, and this one was one of those!. The best part is that i got to learn more about God's character and i will forever be thankful for that.
The first three days we help with the vbs. the kids were more than adorable and i count`t stop smiling from seeing their beautiful faces.
this three siblings! oh my heart... Seeing them together all the time and taking care of each other with such attention, patients and kindness was seeing love in all it's expression.
i was helping Lisa in the craft room. it was so inspiring to see such beautiful and creative crafts made by the kids
the last day we had over one hundred kids
on thursday we walked around, went to the market and in the afternoon we did evangelism in the central park of Santa Cruz
watching and being part of something like this was a true gift from the Lord. shearing the gospel to the people was so powerful and there are no words to describe seeing people come to Christ and leading there lives to Jesus. this little guy over here was ready to share the gospel to anyone. He was brave and he knew what he was saying, he wasn`t afraid or nervous, he understands the gospel and he wanted to share it. seeing this boy do that and pray for this old man was so convicting.
this sunrise...so beautiful!
i also got to see my sweet and special friend, Natalie while i was there.
Friday morning we went to Casa de Mi Padre and spend the morning playing with the kids. the older girls braid all the girls's hair and the boy's played soccer.
they also came to celebrate Christmas for the kids at Casa de Mi Padre. it is a special night were we have a fancy dinner and then the kids sing Christmas songs and received their presents.
An evening filled with joy!
Papa Shane with his kids
first they opened their stockings
this trip was a blessing!
