Birthday gril + Antigua

Last week was Leani's birthday so on Sunday we took her to Antigua. It was a beautiful day to walk around and just enjoy the perfect weather and that beautiful city. we can´t get enough of this gorgeous  place, every time we go it's so wonderful, the people walking around, the old houses the good food, the markets, the colors is just to much for us.

 

We went to a cool market there and leani introduced us to this amazing chocolates, she loves chocolate and so do we. they had one that was chocolate+coconut (i mean how perfect is that) it was so so good!

 

  and then at the end of the day we went for dinner at this beautiful restaurant call "La Fonda" its even more pretty at night because they have candles and the little garden has lights on the trees , it really was just perfect.

life in school

okay so where to begin with this post ..
first life in school its going good , in homeshcool we work for months and at the end of the month we have tests  , in some ways its a great way to work because you have to study what you learn on the month, but sometimes it can get a little hard because the month goes so fast that it feels like you are always doing exams or test. The first three months of the year were pretty stressful and hard , just getting used to a new routine and new subjects...
last week we started a new month, it feels good to have new books ( the books are for three months )
is just like fresh start , as our mom calendars the next three months we found out that is going to be so light than the last ones, which is good in so many ways !!
a) this week we will be doing school just three days because the Lord brought an amazing opportunity for us ( can´t wait to share it here )
b) June and July are going to be super busy with so many exciting things , we have been invited to translate in some conferences for a week .
c) in July a group from the church I (Anna ) went back in Florida is coming to Guatemala for a mission trip for a week and I am going to be able to be part of them .
its amazing how the Lord has bless us with things like this ones , it shows us ones again how much He loves us and His faithfulness in our lives
this are the things that we are so thankful for being homeshcool and how the Lord brings great opportunity's so that we can serve .
so here's to a great month of school because come on is our LAST YEAR , woohoo

Colorful Pancakes

 

for a while now we have been wanting to make a special breakfast but we have been so busy with school and with lots of things to do that we just couldn´t, so on Saturday morning we woke up and made some colorful pancakes for our family :) they are much fun to make, and we enjoyed them so much!!

recipe:
1 cup all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)

2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, or vegetable oil

1 large egg

Semana Santa Part II

So here is the second part of our wonderful week at the lake. The last three days where full of sun, after having just rain and wind we where pretty excited about seeing the sun again.  

we skied in water and had a really nice walk. I mean come on...isn't that incredibly beautiful. Trees, the grass so green and the sun in these fields mmmm fresh air.

The Lord is so good and His creation is beautiful.

We are so grateful for the family time we had + this restful week.

Semana Santa Part I

hey you all !!
a couple of weeks ago we went for a trip with our whole family to Izabal . My Uncle has a house there and every year we go for a week as a family , its beautiful. we spent the first three days just relaxing , and reading , and eating lots of good food , the weather was not in our favor , it rained all day long for those first days. so on Thursday we went to Rio Dulce for the day, just to get out and the sun was up and shinning, we had a blast , this place means a lot to my mom ,Because she would spend summers here with her cousins and family and it brought to many memories to my grandparents and our mom and her brother. we eat that amazing sea soup up there and there is no words to describe how perfect was it , it really was a good day :) we have more to share soon.
